Thankful

Our had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We have a lot to be thankful for this year.
We have a beautiful baby girl, our health, and photography just keeps getting busier and busier.
This will be my second to last post on this blog.
It is time to move on to bigger and better things.
So bear with me the next few months, there will be a lot of changes,
and a lot of kinks to work out.
But in the end, 2012 will be a big year for Amy Meyerott Photography.
I am so thankful and blessed to have had all of your support the past 2 and a half years.
Please bear with me as these changes are all made.
I have promised you from the beginning,
I will keep improving and I am taking the steps to full fill that promise.

So onto one of my last posts on this blog,
a very sweet family I met up with on Thanksgiving Day!

I had a great time meeting your family.
I hope you all enjoyed your time together and got to soak in the babies' First Thanksgiving!

I'm Finally Ready.

Oh friends, so many changes, so little time.
It's almost my baby girl's first Christmas.
I have been excited about it since before she was even born.
But I am not one to rush.
Absolutely NO Christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving.
Well our decorations are up and I think it is perfect timing to decorate the blog with this beautiful family.

Their youngest, who is incredibly shy (yeah right) really wanted a picture on her hammock.
Since I too am a lover of hammocks, her wish was granted.
Plus, she is too cute to say "no" to.

Normally I don't like to post two similar images on a blog post but I just LOVE this image.
I feel like it captures all of their personalities,
which is my goal with each and every click of my shutter.

After capturing some pictures outdoors,
they requested some casual pictures at their home.

She isn't the center of attention or anything...

I hope you all enjoy your holidays and Karin, enjoy your trip back to Germany!
I really wish I had hidden in your suit case!
Hope you love the pictures!

Fall in Vegas

After one year,
I finally found a spot in Vegas that boasts fall color.
I love this location, it also helps that it is right down the road!
The White family met me just in time for a wind storm,
I am so glad we got to fit their session in without the wind carrying their little one away!

I love this image so much,
I just had to post it in a creamy black and white...

If you look closely,
really close,
you may get a glimpse of the new addition they are expecting in the spring!

Congratulations on your growing family!
I hope you all had as much fun fighting the wind with me as I had with you!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I obviously have so much to be thankful for this year,
a wonderful husband, our families, our jobs, amazing clients in 2 different states,
Oh, and our sweet kiddos
(Myler Pup and Baby Peas).
I am so blessed by so many of my clients.
Every friend in Vegas, with the exception of a few from my husband's work,
I met through photography!
I seriously have incredible clients/friends.
This family definitely fits into the incredible bracket.
They had me laughing pretty much the entire session.
This session was so laid back and carefree.
This does not mean they did not care about how their photos would look,
there is a fine line and they did not cross into that.
It means they relaxed, trusted me, trusted that they looked naturally cute,
and BAM you get this:

I know these kiddos have parents who are VERY THANKFUL for them.

Happy First Thanksgiving Baby Girl!!

Normally I don't post "silly" pictures on the blog. I try to go for the ones that make mommies squeal with excitement. This time however, since he and his dad are awesome, I am posting one that will make them both happy!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I hope no matter where you are, you are spending it with loved ones.
Whether they are blood related, military related, or friends who have become family,
I hope you all have a very Blessed Day.

Tis' The Season...

One thing about Vegas, we don't have 4 seasons.
We have Hot and Cold.
It only makes sense to roll our fall and Christmas photo sessions into one.
I met this little guy and his big sister just over a month ago, on the day he was born!
I was so happy to get the chance to check in and see how all of their lives have changed.

I so love The District this time of year.
How could you not get in the Holiday Spirit there??

I also am in love with this red door!

I guess I should have posted fall images first.
We get a little confused here : )

Carter's aunts came to meet him for the first time.
I miss my nieces and nephew so much so I made sure they each got special pictures with their little guy!

I am quite positive you will be seeing more of this family soon!
They are just too much fun to photograph.
Happy Holidays!

My Second Favorite Man

Clearly I love my husband, I did choose to spend the rest of my life with him.
One of the perks is that he has 1 sister, 2 brothers, and one step brother.
Along with claiming them as my own,
I also get the joy of being an aunt.
I have 3 beautiful nieces,
and one perfect little nephew.
Just like his sister,
Oliver decided to arrive DAYS AFTER Aunt Amy left town.
Well, this little pup couldn't avoid my camera for long...

Just hangin' around with Aunt Amy!
