Lindsay and David: ENGAGED

I am so excited about shooting Lindsay and Davis's wedding this September!
No, It's not just because they are incredibly adorable and photogenic (although that does help),
it's because I have watched this girl grow from a sweet little toddler to a gorgeous woman.
Lindsay has always been adorable,
we new she was going to be trouble once she got into high school.
And she was.
Her dad didn't need to worry too much though,
he had a whole team of us approving or disapproving of every guy she brought through the door.
I kinda freaked out a little bit when I found out Lindsay had gotten engaged to David-
but only because I had never met him.
Within 5 minutes, of meeting him, I approved 110% and I couldn't possibly be happier he is the one who placed a ring on her finger.

I am in love with her shoes!!

Aren't these two adorable?
I love, love, love sweet couples!

I love how much fun they have together!

One of the many reasons I love rain!

Congratulations to you both, I couldn't be more proud.
I can't wait until September!

Josh & Ashley: MARRIED

I wish all Brides were like Ashley.
She was so calm and refined all day, no matter what came her way.
She had issue after issue planning her wedding.
Then in the middle of it all, her photographer up and moves to Vegas!
She thought I was canceling on her,
I am so glad that is not what it meant!
Their wedding was the first of many weddings I will be flying back to shoot.
St Louis even listened to my plea for thunderstorms.

Speaking of thunderstorms,
As I walked down the aisle after confirming with the bride that we were all ready to start,
the raindrops began to fall...

Luckily, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were well prepared and the wedding went off without a hitch. Hmm well, with a hitch. It is called, "gettin' hitched", right?

We headed over to the farm Josh grew up on for some photos.
This farm is so meaningful to all of their friends and family.
Friends were even boastful of all of the work they had done there, everyone was just so proud!

As I stood taking this picture, witnessing the bond between Ashley and her mom I couldn't help but think that one day, I will be taking a similar picture with my baby girl. Only now, can I actually imagine how proud Ashley's mom is of her daughter.

Congratulations to you both.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to come to St. Louis for your wedding!

I Love Baby Grayson!!

You fall in love quickly when one of your close friends has a baby.
I have been waiting with anticipation for this little guy before he was even conceived.
Devon and I had it all planned out.
We scheduled these babies right in to our jam packed agenda.
I knew before she even took a pregnancy test that she was pregnant.
Devon sat by me the first time I felt Peanut kick-
She actually saw her kick.
I have a strong little kicker.
Devon and I could not wait to waddle around together.
Then we moved to Vegas.
I hated not being there to see her hit all of the stages she saw me reach.
I hated that she didn't get to come to the hospital to see my new bundle of joy.
I was sooo excited at the possibility of her baby being born while I was in St Louis.
Devon and John have way too much patience-
they waited to see if they were having a boy or a girl!!
It was really looking promising that Devon was going to be induced while I was there.
When it didn't happen,
I just knew she would be induced the day I left-
I was correct in my negative thinking.
She called me to tell me she was on her way to the hospital when we were one hour
outside of St Louis.
I cried.
I thought about stranding my husband alone on the train and rushing back to my friend.
With my camera, of course.
I guess I need to get some of that patience Devon and John have.
When I came back about a week later to shoot a wedding,
I bounded through their front door dying to get to that baby boy of theirs.
Forget Patience.

Such a smart guy. He knows to model for my camera already!

I love this Mommy!

Grayson's Dad is pretty cool too. : )

I could not, for the life of me, decide which of these pictures was sweeter...

I thought putting him on the mantle would be fun.
Devon and John did not.

During our pregnancies Devon and I both took up knitting/crocheting.
I made this hammock specifically with Grayson in mind,
He was the first to use it.

Devon made this blanket.
I think it turned out just perfect!

This little Teddy just can't wait to be loved on.

Congratulations Devon and John on the beginning of your perfect little family.

HAPPY ONE MONTH GRAYSON!!!

Chloe, FINALLY.

I have been DYING to meet Chloe since August or so.
Denny (Chloe's Dad) was one of the first people to find out I was pregnant.
He posted on Facebook that He and Christina were expecting a baby.
When I called him to congratulate him,
I couldn't contain my exciting news.
We were due about 2 months apart.
I was hoping he would have a girl and I would have a boy so my boy could cause all sorts of trouble for Denny to deal with in the future, BUT
2 girls is even better!
Peanut and I could not wait until their photo session so we could finally meet baby Chloe.

This Daddy is so proud of his girl- and I am so proud of him!

It only makes sense Denny is in love with Chloe. After all, she looks so much like her momma.

Oh Chloe, Your mom and dad are completely smitten with you.

I have to admit, I am pretty smitten too.
You can come live with us in Vegas any time you want.

I miss you 3 already!
Lets plan on Christmas photos of the girls this year!!
Love you,
Amy
