Christian: Senior Portraits

I finally did it! That statement applies to so many aspects of my photography this week: I successfully shot an entire session in the rain, learned how to get my watermark on my blog, taught myself how to get large images on my blog, and last but not least, shot my first Senior Portrait session...WITH A GUY! Christian was awesome and super easy to photograph. I really lucked out. He is a lefty pitcher for Fort Zumwalt West and I was pumped to do his session at T.R. Hughes because I am a Baseball Loving Kind of Girl! Best of Luck Christian, can't wait to see one of your games this spring!

Little Logan (and his Momma)

So many songs come to mind when editing this session. I have found myself singing, " Rain, Rain go away" and "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee, boy won't Mommy be so proud of me". At least I'm singing. (well my husband would likely disagree) Logan was the most adorable little Bumble Bee and it was POURING during his session. I owe a special thanks to Beatnik's Restaurant and New Town St Charles for being creative and making this session happen!

Such a handsome little man already!
Yep, still raining.

Did I mention I managed to lock us out on a balcony? Yep. Sure did, then Logan figured out that HE could lock ME out on the balcony. Smart Kid.

The Shoults Family

I am sort of partial to the Shoults Family. Beth was the very first person to express interest in my photography. After my very first session ever, Beth expressed interest in family photos. I of course agreed but it was still at the point when I was not sure if I was actually going to pursue photography or not. Thank you Beth, for believing in me before I even believed in myself. I was so excited to finally get to meet her family.
I found out during the first 5 seconds of the session that Ben is a HUGE water baby. To truly catch him in his element we would have needed to toss him in the water. If St. Louis actually had consistent fall weather I would have suggested we do his entire session in the water.
Little Reese cracked me up. She was super animated and LOVED the camera... until she accidentally got whapped in the head with it...oops.

I have heard of being a Daddy's girl or a Momma's boy but with the Shoults family, they did their own thing. Ron was clearly Ben's role model and little Reese hardly left her Mom's side.

I hope you enjoy the sneak peek of your photos and I can't wait for you to see the rest!

The Horton-Vernitte Family

I hadn't seen Amanda since say-graduation...of High School. So it has been a good while since I have seen her. I heard she had a son but I had never gotten the opportunity to meet him or his Dad, Jeff. I was so excited when Amanda showed up with her cute little family, while they are still little. Jeff and Amanda just found out there expecting another child this spring! Well their son, Camren is adorable so I am positive the new addition will be the same.

I kept calling Camren a little monkey during their session. This kid could climb EVERYTHING!!
So politely sitting with his little hands folded.

I had so much fun with you all. I hope I will get to do another session with you guys when you are a family of four!

Amy Meyerott: Boudoir Series

Whether it be an anniversary, Valentines Day, birthday, or just for yourself, Boudoir Photography is turning into a new craze. I did my first Boudoir Session a few days ago and am really excited to share the portraits with everyone. However, I realize not everone is as excited to come across them as I am so I am setting up a blog specifically for Boudoir Photography. While the pictures aren't for kiddos, they are a wonderful way to showcase the confidence and beauty of women. I'm a classy kind of gal so expect to see the female body presented in a classy, tasteful way. That being said, come visit:

The Meyerott Family

Little Ellie needs no introduction, but I am pretty sure her parents, Joe and Lesley, do! Joe is my husband's brother. He and his wife, Lesley are two of the best people I could have hoped for to have as my new family. I always wanted brothers and sisters and now I finally do. Even better than that, I finally get to be an aunt. We decided it was time to do a "real" session with Ellie instead of just saying, "Hey Ellie looks cute, lets take a picture". She rocked her session and Aunt Amy couldn't be more proud! Thanks for making me look good Ellie!

Just chillin'.

I keep saying this is my favorite from the session, then I change m mind about 100 times. She is so precious.

The Fitzgerald-Robinette Family

I have known the Fitzgerald Family since the day I came home from the hospital 24 years ago. They were in the pictures at my first birthday party and now I am overjoyed to have gotten the opportunity to document a moment in their family's life.

I watched Karin and Lisa grow through life- watched them play sports, watched them graduate high school, and watched "boys" come in and out of their lives. I wasn't surprised when Karin decided to keep Will around. He is a great guy and a great father to their two children.

The kids not only have very loving parents and grandparents;
they have an Aunt who adores them.

I had so much fun seeing you all again. I miss our little family on Cherryvale, I can only hope that I one day raise my kids on a street with such amazing neighbors: Neighbors they consider family. I can't wait for you all to see the rest of your pictures- I hope these hold you over till then!
