LeeAnne Marie

For those of you who don't know, I have been finishing up my masters in school counseling this semester. Only 8 weeks of coursework to go!! This past semester, I was an intern in the counseling department at Wright City High School. It was at this time I met The Brooks. They met at the school, got married last July and they just brought home their first child: a baby girl, LeeAnne Marie. She is so calm and pleasant. She hardly made a peep while I was there. Of course, there is not much to cry about with a room like hers. I could lay in the crib (if I could fit) and stare a the walls for hours! They took so much care decorating for their little girl.

I had to include this picture for LeeAnne's Daddy. This is his FAVORITE blanket.

I had to include both versions of this picture just because I love it so much. Oh, and I need to mention: It was LeeAnne's Momma's idea!!

CRISIS, CRISIS, CRISIS

I EXPERIENCED EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER'S WORST NIGHTMARE TODAY: So I had 2 photo sessions scheduled this morning; one at 9, one at 10:30. The first one went without a glitch. The kids were cute, I got a lot of smiles, and they were super impressive for a family of 5 with 3 kids under 4. It was AWESOME! Something that would not go as smoothly again if we tried. So I headed to my second session early and began shooting. I was in the middle of getting a cute shot when, "ERROR 99: CAMERA IS UNABLE TO TAKE PHOTOS PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF" came across the screen. It never recovered. So the momma moved in and said "I have my camera, you could use it". I put in my memory card: NO IMAGES. I wanted to cry, but I didn't, you can ask! I took a deep breath and asked if we could resume at another time. THANK GOD they were so awesome, they even drove me back to my car. I rushed to Creve Coeur Camera and they were able to retrieve my images, once again, THANK GOD. As my images burned from my card to a disc I couldn't help but think about how lucky I am. This happened with an awesome senior gal who has an awesome mom. They were so comforting and relaxed during the whole process. They were able to save my photos at Creve Coeur. An awesome friend is loaning me her camera for tomorrow which once again, THANK GOD, my camera didn't decide to mess up then. I'm shooting my first Quinceanera tomorrow and it is an all day, super traditional, HUGE event. I can reschedule senior pics, not the party, it is a one time event in this girl's life and it ranks up there with the importance of a wedding. So, THANK YOU GOD for making this happen today and not tomorrow. I would have cried. A lot.

My Best Friend: Ashley Frost

I have always known my best friend was gorgeous-inside and out. Now my camera knows as well. Ashley and I have now been friends for 10 years and with each passing year I grow to love her more and more. There aren't enough good things I could say about her, and I swear she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Ash is not only my best friend, she is also my Graphic Designer. She is insanely talented. She has designed our wedding invitations, my logo, my gift cards, my photo release, and now she is working on a mixed media landscape for my living room. When Ash asked me to take some photos for her soon to be website I couldn't have been happier to return a favor. Love you Ash, you're BEAUTIFUL!!!

We started the session with a country feel...

Now onto the City...

Isn't she soooo much fun?!?

Hope you LOVE them Ash! Thanks for everything you have done for me!! Love You.

Shelby's Senior Session

I met Shelby, her mom and her friend Heather at the Art Museum last weekend. It was still a little too cold for my liking but Shelby didn't complain so I didn't either. Shelby quickly decided on the Art Museum as the location for her pictures. She is about to graduate and plans to pursue an Art Degree this fall. I can't believe another year has passed so quickly. I look at the seniors walking down the hall (I'm interning at a High School for my School Counseling degree) and I can't help but think about how they have the world at their feet. Congratulations Shelby and the rest of the class off 2010. Follow your dreams!

Shelby loved this rose so I decided to include 2 versions of this picture. : )

Shelby had her friend Heather come along and she was a huge help. She of course had to jump in a few pics!

Shelby is an Awesome friend so she suggested Heather get a few pics of her own:

Congratulations girls! Good luck in college and in the rest of your adventures in life!

Lisa and Evan

Here's another family that had to bear the cold for their session. The good thing about the cold? Great excuse to cuddle with your loved ones. Lisa for sure loves her son, Evan. How could you not? This kid has more personality in his right hip (you will see why) than many have in their whole body. He is gonna be a heartbreaker one day too soon Lisa. I had such a great time with you two!

Don't let him fool you, he is far from bored. Just being a ham and showing me how conviencing he can be. hahaa ANTM for men? I think I will call Tyra Banks.

I would be in BIG trouble if I didn't post this picture for Hamster (the nickname I gave Evan for being such a ham). He was looking forward to striking this pose all day long! I LOVE IT!!

Had a blast with you two. Your pics will be ready soon!
