A Mouse in the House...

Ok not really.
I just nicknamed my friend MOUSE.
Maybe it was due to the fact that after the whole world was sleeping,
we were up roaming the halls of the Juvenile Justice Center.
(No, we were not in trouble, we were Juvenile Detention Officers)
Maybe it was because we constantly had an array of snacks.
It was for sure not because she was quiet.
Really, it was a combination of her first and last name.
I miss mouse.
I will never forget the first time I met her.
I was sooo dreading working 3rd shift.
Until I met Michelle.
There were several nights we didn't stop laughing until 4 am.
I miss the Mouse at the JJC.
Now that I am gone, at least I know I can catch her and her kids for pictures here and there!

Her first born baby boy:

Then number two:

And last but not least, her little girl:

Kinly gets an extra picture because she is so flipping cute.
And because she has a different version of the name I wanted for Maddie: Kenley!

Great thinking Mouse. I love the football theme!

The Difference Between Boys and Girls

So we know girls are quite different from boys.
Heck, there is even a book or 50 about it.
Why does this have anything to do with photography?
My friend Michelle Lunn of Michelle Lunn Photography
(Who has been my knight in shining armor by the way. She has been awesome taking on my photo sessions I have had to miss due to bed rest!)
and I may be onto something.
P.S. Today is Michelle's Birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!
While editing, our wonderful husbands often play a role.
We run our images by them for approval.
We noticed that both of our hubbies prefer color images over black and white.
BY FAR
Now Michelle and I?
We are suckers for the Black and Whites.
They are just soooo classy and timeless.
I am sure I am going to learn more differences between boys and girls
within the next few months.
My friend, Tami, has a wonderful baby boy.
She is my first Vegas friend.
I already go to her for advice and I am super excited about all of the wisdom she has shared.
Her baby, Sean, and Maddie will be great friends.
Since Tami has been such an awesome friend,
and since I am such a lover of Black and Whites,
Tami will get an extra long post full of both options.
After all, Sean is a boy.
He likely wants to see himself in color!
Tami had 2 sessions with me.
The first with her hubby's family.
The second with hers.

Now if this image were B&W we would totally be missing the adorable pink nose...

But when you pay a lot of money for professional images, not having a red nose could be a plus.

Sometimes I can't decide which version I like better:

Now sometimes, I prefer the photo in color and don't even think twice about making a B&W option.

Pictures of Generations I feel should reflect the current time and technology. I believe Generational images are the ones that will be kept for generations to come.

Love Grandma Hugs : )

Sometimes though, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the black and white and don't look twice at the color.

So, Ladies and Gents-
You decide.
Me?
I love the black and whites!
Of course, Sean looks handsome either way!!

Maybe I Should Name Madeline Hunter Instead...

I don't know if it is coincidence but I have now met two baby boys named Hunter,
And they are both insanely adorable.
Not to mention they are both sweethearts!
I met up with Hunter and his parents a few weeks ago and I am still in shock
over how well behaved and happy of a baby Hunter is.
I had so much with his family and I am very thankful for the advice they gave me.
I first met Hunter's mom on Baby Center.
We are both due in March and we are both Las Vegas Mommas.
Well, soon to be anyway.
The more I talked to Megan, the more we had in common!
I can't wait to get our babies together this spring.
Play date? I think so!!
Ok enough, I have to post the pics of their adorable family.
Now lets see if I can narrow my favorites down.

I mean really. You don't get this in St. Louis:

Since Hunter is about to become a big brother, I had to include some fun pictures with just him and his two biggest fans.

There is no way I would rather end this post than by posting this picture:
LOVE IT!!
