The Day Little Girls Dream Of:

It was a beautiful day.
The skies were blue, the sun kissed our skin, families gathered to prepare for the day's events.

Flowers were ordered.

Little girls dreamed of when their time would come.

The guys took their positions.

And a Blushing Beauty put on the final touches...

As she walked down the aisle in front of her friends and family ten handsome men were awaiting her arrival. UM, HELLO!!! Did you catch that? Ten Men!?!

Ok, so it wasn't a wedding.
Although she would have been very lucky to have taken any of their hands. I mean really? How lucky can you get? Ten handsome bachelors to walk down the aisle to?
It only happens once in a girl's life: Her Quinceanera!!

For those of you who have never experienced a Quinceanera, it is a celebration of a girl's 15th Birthday and transition into womanhood. It is an incredibly traditional Mexican event that takes just as much time and preparation as most weddings. Jocelyne was breathtaking and her family could not have been more proud.

The day started off with a Church Ceremony. I will honestly tell you that I don't know much of what was said (I took two years of Spanish and I hardly remember much more than Hola and Adios). Its incredible how prayer and love for God can cross any language barrier.

Then after the Ceremony we were off to the park to get some pictures of Jocelyne with her guys: Her Court.

Out of the lucky ten, Jocelyne had one main escort:

After the park we headed to the "Salon" for what I called the reception.

I wish I could post pictures from each traditional event of the evening. I will however briefly describe some of the events: A Grand Entrance (hence the Barbie Box, handmade by Jocelyne's Dad), A choreographed dance with her escort, then one with the entire court, she was given her last doll by a little girl, a diamond ring, an even larger crown than the one she wore all day, her dad changed her shoes from little flats to a much more adult stiletto, and she had not one cake to cut but 15!! So much more happened during the evening and it was all an incredible honor to watch. Thanks so much for inviting me to do your photos Jocelyne, You ARE so beautiful!

Hope these hold you over. I can't wait for you to see the rest!
Congratulations!
