Seniors 2012: Brandon

As we walked through the campus of Chaminade Preparatory School,
a string of phrases came to my mind:
O' Captian, My Captian,
Carpe Diem,
Esto Vir.
There is something spectacular about Chaminade.
The History. The Heritage. The Motto.
Esto Vir, Be A Man.
Brandon had incredible gratitude towards his school and the education he received there.

Brandon isn't the only one with those feelings of gratitude.
One alumni recently left 28 MILLION dollars to the school.
Brandon's class was the first to be able to see his generosity put to use.

Another thing Brandon is proud of is his cross country record at Chaminade.

The following is my fave:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Brandon.
Hoping that you get your first choice of school.
Enjoy the rest of your final year at Chaminade!

Class of 2011: Travis

Holy Cow was it ever cold when I met up with Travis and his mom for his Senior Pics.
I felt so bad!
Here I was in a ski coat and scarf
and poor Travis is in a T-Shirt for some of the pics.
It didn't matter how cold it was,
Travis still looked handsome.
I swear, I have some good looking clients!

Travis instantly became one of my favorite clients because of the
simple fact that he brought his dog.

Oh, and did I mention that Travis plays baseball?
MY FAVORITE SPORT EVER!

I love that I can borrow an idea of mine for a wedding and apply it to a Senior Session : )

And he's a football player too. I would be taking girlfriend applications for him but he already has a girlfriend. Sorry ladies!

I had to end the session with a smile. : )

Congratulations Travis!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your year, especially baseball season!

Senior Photos: Krystal

I know, I know. I'm a bad little blogger. With summer family vacation, a float trip with friends and the last week of my masters work looming ahead things have been quite busy. So to get back into the swing of things I will start with the girl who broke my camera! Ha, completely kidding. A few of you may know that my Rebel broke in June. I almost had a heart attack. One thing that kept me calm was the understanding of Krystal and her Mom. We were in the middle of Forest Park on one of the hottest days of the early summer and right in the middle of her session CRUNCCCHH (not the noise you want to hear out of your camera). My shutter had gone out. So I went home and much to my surprise my wonderful husband said, "Cool, Time for an upgrade!" So here we are, a month later with Krystal's session finally finished. The crunchy camera is fixed and is a wonderful back up to my precious 5D. Although Krystal had nothing to do with the camera breaking, it's still fun to tease her that she is the girl who broke the camera! Kind of silly though because she is quite beautiful:

Session #2

Krystal, Thanks so much for breaking my camera. I had so much fun doing 2 sessions with you! Your pics are being mailed tomorrow, hope you love them!

My Best Friend: Ashley Frost

I have always known my best friend was gorgeous-inside and out. Now my camera knows as well. Ashley and I have now been friends for 10 years and with each passing year I grow to love her more and more. There aren't enough good things I could say about her, and I swear she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Ash is not only my best friend, she is also my Graphic Designer. She is insanely talented. She has designed our wedding invitations, my logo, my gift cards, my photo release, and now she is working on a mixed media landscape for my living room. When Ash asked me to take some photos for her soon to be website I couldn't have been happier to return a favor. Love you Ash, you're BEAUTIFUL!!!

We started the session with a country feel...

Now onto the City...

Isn't she soooo much fun?!?

Hope you LOVE them Ash! Thanks for everything you have done for me!! Love You.
