I EXPERIENCED EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER'S WORST NIGHTMARE TODAY: So I had 2 photo sessions scheduled this morning; one at 9, one at 10:30. The first one went without a glitch. The kids were cute, I got a lot of smiles, and they were super impressive for a family of 5 with 3 kids under 4. It was AWESOME! Something that would not go as smoothly again if we tried. So I headed to my second session early and began shooting. I was in the middle of getting a cute shot when, "ERROR 99: CAMERA IS UNABLE TO TAKE PHOTOS PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF" came across the screen. It never recovered. So the momma moved in and said "I have my camera, you could use it". I put in my memory card: NO IMAGES. I wanted to cry, but I didn't, you can ask! I took a deep breath and asked if we could resume at another time. THANK GOD they were so awesome, they even drove me back to my car. I rushed to Creve Coeur Camera and they were able to retrieve my images, once again, THANK GOD. As my images burned from my card to a disc I couldn't help but think about how lucky I am. This happened with an awesome senior gal who has an awesome mom. They were so comforting and relaxed during the whole process. They were able to save my photos at Creve Coeur. An awesome friend is loaning me her camera for tomorrow which once again, THANK GOD, my camera didn't decide to mess up then. I'm shooting my first Quinceanera tomorrow and it is an all day, super traditional, HUGE event. I can reschedule senior pics, not the party, it is a one time event in this girl's life and it ranks up there with the importance of a wedding. So, THANK YOU GOD for making this happen today and not tomorrow. I would have cried. A lot.
